New Website - Don't come here anymore...

Hi everyone!

Blogger has been great but the new WiggyVonSchtick web site has an integrated blog so this page doesn't have much use any more. I'm leaving the blog up, for old times sake, but there will not be any new posts here.

Make sure to visit the new site!

Wiggy VonSchtick Productions Opposes SOPA & PIPA

The proposed bills in Congress known as SOPA and PIPA are a big deal and so are the issues they claim to deal with.

Piracy is a big deal, Wiggy VonSchtick has been a victim, but the internet isn't going anywhere and people's abilities to acquire whatever they want whenever they want is only going to get easier even if these bills pass.

Nanny laws only hurt people who follow the law, criminals just find a way around them.

These are complex problems that require big ideas, not censorship.

New, young entertainment business minds are already thinking of ways to curtail piracy and it's working. Look at Louis C.K. He managed to shoot and release a downloadable comedy show and made profits that he couldn't imagine.

Make no mistake, this is about money and how large studios make it - not about the viewer or the art of entertainment and all of that is fine! It's required to make the big kinds of movies that people love to go see, but these pieces of legislation are not the ways to make entertainment profitable in the future.  I know that the big studios are using scare tactics to try and force creatives to their side, but these bills shoot a creative's future in the foot.

End Piracy, Not Liberty

In a bizarre coincidence we are changing hosting companies so the WVS website may be down, including our email server. We have a general Gmail account that we will be using during the switch-over:

We hope you don't notice this switch-over, but just in case here's the plan B.

Please help maintain an open internet.

New Story Time with Ray - Now with more potty talk.

The new Story Time with Ray is up and you can see it HERE, in the widget above if you are at the Wiggy website or right here in the blog:

Would love to fill you in on some other things that are happening, but it's a very busy day today.

Talk to you soon!

New Story Time with Ray - A Bit On the NSFW Side

The New Story Time with Ray is up!

If you are on the Wiggy VonSchtick website then it should be in the video box on the front page, otherwise you can see it here:

Enjoy!

Happy New Year!

It's a new year and we have new projects coming from Wiggy VonSchtick Productions!

Check out the new State of Stuff here:

If you are viewing this in the News section of the website then you should see this video in the YouTube widget above.

Here are some of the details not covered in the video:

• New WiggyWebs vids were in short supply at the end of the year. That was all due to scheduling. We are making some changes to make sure that won't happen any more.
• Story Time with Ray will be back up on Wednesday featuring more angry rants from Curtis's father-in-law.
• Make-Up with The Wolf will be on a short hiatus due to Myke's work schedule and the fact that we need him for some other projects right now - sorry! We do have cool new effects that he is going to show you how to do and we'll keep you updated via Twitter and the news page here as to when those episodes will be ready.
• 3 Minutes with Curtis & Dean is currently seeking new topics for discussion! You can post them in the comments on the blog, on the Wiggy VonSchtick Facebook Page, or Tweet them at us! We look forward to your suggestions.
• Cheerleaders is going through a major web re-vamp! The page will be down after the 6th as we make some significant changes to the site.
• Come to think of it, this page might be down as well for a couple days as we make alterations - but we'll keep the down time to a minimum.

That's about it for now, we'll see you soon!

New Story Time with Ray!

Quick update just to let you know the new Story Time with Ray - Ray on Banking is up over at the WiggyWebs channel on YouTube.

Update for November 2011

How embarrassing is it that this hasn't been updated since the middle of October?!

Well, we're rectifying that now with this update - which appears in video form thanks to YouTube:

Here are the salient points for you quick browsers:

1. Behind the Mask is firmly in post production. We anticipate a 2012 release of this documentary about plastic surgery and plastic surgeons.
2. WiggyWebs videos may be delayed due to shooting schedules and edit time.
3. Big changes coming in January for the "cheerleader" movie!

That's all for now!

Monday Announcment... Kinda'

Man, oh man!

So, I know that we kept teasing that there would be a big Cheerleaders announcement today - but something happened this morning, literally minutes before I started making the announcement video, that completely changed the game!

And I can't talk about any of it!

There is a video HERE on the Wiggy Webs channel that goes into as much detail as I can go into - but you'll probably notice a really abrupt edit near the end where I let a little too much slip and had to cut it out.

So, check that out, look for a new "Story Time with Ray" on Wednesday and a new "3 Minutes with Curtis & Dean" on Friday!

I'll announce things as I'm permitted!

Curtis

New "3 Minutes with Curtis & Dean" - Star Wars

Hey Star Wars fans! Check out our 3 Minutes of commentary all about Star Wars and how Curtis & Dean feel about it.

New "Cheerleader" update coming Monday - with a big announcement and a contest!

The latest episode of "Story Time with Ray" is up and available for viewing at the WiggyWebs channel!

As Ray finishes off the alphabet we are very excited for the new episodes that are coming up afterward - Ray is off leash and speakin' his mind!

Enjoy, more updates soon!

New Make-Up with The Wolf!

After a long break we have the new episode of "Make-Up with The Wolf!"

This episode shows how to make elf ears that look good - even the "off the shelf" kind!

Enjoy it and let us know either in the comments here or on the video at YouTube what effects you'd like to see next!

3 Minutes Has Returned!

After many, many weeks without new episodes the new one is up and ready to be seen HERE!

I hope you enjoy it!

Monday should see the latest from "Make-Up with The Wolf" and it looks like we are back on schedule!

In Kickstarter news, if you participated in campaign you should have seen our latest update both on the Kickstarter site and in our last update, but just in case it wouldn't hurt to check that out again. By the way, if you emailed us we have received it and will be following up over the weekend.

It's been a good month!

See you soon!

New Story Time with Ray, Post Kickstarter Update and Apologies

Should we start with apologies?

I think so.

Really sorry that the release of "Make-Up with The Wolf" and "3 Minutes with Curtis & Dean" have been so delayed. We were able to put out one fire - which is why "Story Time with Ray" has been on time - but there were a few things beyond our control with the other shows and we're getting it handled as quickly as we can. We expect a new "3 Minutes" on Friday and a new "MUwTW" on Monday.

Fingers Crossed!

Speaking of "Story Time with Ray" have you seen the NEW EPISODE? follow that link if you don't see the video here.

Once the alphabet is finished we'll be moving onto new topics, all selected by Ray, and I can tell you because I was there when it was all shot I'm kinda' temped to skip past the end of the alphabet and just start putting those episode out - but I'm also a complete-ist by nature so time will tell.

Also, if you haven't seen it yet you should check out the new Kickstarter Update we've posted! Just because we're funded doesn't mean we're leaving you guys out of the loop! You helped to get us where we are and we want you to know what's going on.

That's it for today. Big announcement coming up for Cheerleaders in the near future so keep an eye out for that!

Update: State of Stuff and Story Time with Ray

We are still jumping up and down with excitement and we are doing our best to take advantage of the momentum from the Kickstarter campaign! We are pleased to say that Michael Mcclasky is now officially signed on as our casting director and we have several meetings set up over the next few weeks to get Cheerleaders locked down!

On the WiggyWebs front there are two new videos available right now!

First The State of Stuff for August. I know it's a bit late, but it's all explained in the video.

And our scheduled show Story Time with Ray! Today he talks about "O" and "P".

If you are a Kickstarter Backer then you shoulod have received your first Backers update yesterday, if you didn't let us know.

Enjoy the videos and don't forget to subscribe!

This is it.

The last day.

The final 24.

Because of your support we have crested over $4100 mark! We are close!

Today we need to close the gap!

If everyone who sees this donates $3, less than a cup of Starbucks or Coffee Bean, then we're over.

If those same people post this link: http://kck.st/qZtHxk and we only get 10% response from it we're still over.

$3 and/or a post and we do it. Seriously, that's all it takes. We did math.

To those of you who have been pushing with us this week: Thank you so much for your support and your belief in the project - even if you're just doing it because you personally like Zeke or Myke or myself - it makes us feel really good to know that our friends, family and fans are willing to help us out. Not everyone can say that and we are grateful beyond measure.

Also, here's one last video because Vernon Wells was good enough to loan us his person to add to our cause.

Let's do this!
Curtis

I don't think I need to put too fine a point on it but  - THE END IS NEAR!!!!!!!!!!

The end of the Kickstarter campaign, that is.

For those of you who have backed us thus far: THANK YOU BEYOND THANKS!

For those of you who have promoted us thus far: WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!

For those of you who might still be on the fence: JOIN US OVER HERE!

The support from family, friends, and fans of indie and horror has been awe inspiring and as we get closer to the last hours we need to keep up the hard work - especially with this being a holiday weekend.

Here's the link to post: http://kck.st/qZtHxk

As I'm sure you've seen, Zeke, Myke and I are constantly updating as things happen, like yesterday's addition of Vernon Wells the notable character actor who has donated time and money to the cause!

Zeke will be at the New Beverly Theater tonight for the screening of "Forbidden Zone" plugging away and I'll be around the O.C. reminding you college kids that beer may be fun, but supporting independent horror films is way more fun!

We're also going to try and shoot some video today to get up before we hit the LAST 24 HOURS!

Keep pluggin' and thank you all so much!

Curtis

Thank you is not sufficient to express the amount of gratitude that we have right now!

Yesterday's pledges were humbling and amazing!

We have 2 days left and we are 40% funded!

Also, we have our first takers for the "Date with Gordy", "Make-Up Tutorial with The Wolf" and Co-Executive Producers! A thousand thank yous to you!

The countdown on Kickstarter clock has changed from days to hours and, as you will learn from just about any book on screenwriting, nothing motivates a character like a ticking clock!

None of this - and I TRULY mean NONE of this - would be possible without your help! It has been wonderful and inspiring and most of all EFFECTIVE!

For the next two days I humbly request you keep it up!

Here's the link: http://kck.st/qZtHxk

Please continue to post it and, if you have a spare dollar we'd appreciate the donation!

I'm going to try and get through all of the thank yous today - it is a wonderful challenge!

Thank you again!
Curtis
