Update for November 2011

How embarrassing is it that this hasn't been updated since the middle of October?!

Well, we're rectifying that now with this update - which appears in video form thanks to YouTube:

Here are the salient points for you quick browsers:
  1. Behind the Mask is firmly in post production. We anticipate a 2012 release of this documentary about plastic surgery and plastic surgeons.
  2. WiggyWebs videos may be delayed due to shooting schedules and edit time.
  3. Big changes coming in January for the "cheerleader" movie!
That's all for now!

Monday Announcment... Kinda'

Man, oh man!

So, I know that we kept teasing that there would be a big Cheerleaders announcement today - but something happened this morning, literally minutes before I started making the announcement video, that completely changed the game!

And I can't talk about any of it!

There is a video HERE on the Wiggy Webs channel that goes into as much detail as I can go into - but you'll probably notice a really abrupt edit near the end where I let a little too much slip and had to cut it out.

So, check that out, look for a new "Story Time with Ray" on Wednesday and a new "3 Minutes with Curtis & Dean" on Friday!

I'll announce things as I'm permitted!

I hope you enjoy it!

Monday should see the latest from "Make-Up with The Wolf" and it looks like we are back on schedule!

In Kickstarter news, if you participated in campaign you should have seen our latest update both on the Kickstarter site and in our last update, but just in case it wouldn't hurt to check that out again. By the way, if you emailed us we have received it and will be following up over the weekend.

It's been a good month!

See you soon!

New Story Time with Ray, Post Kickstarter Update and Apologies

Should we start with apologies?

I think so.

Really sorry that the release of "Make-Up with The Wolf" and "3 Minutes with Curtis & Dean" have been so delayed. We were able to put out one fire - which is why "Story Time with Ray" has been on time - but there were a few things beyond our control with the other shows and we're getting it handled as quickly as we can. We expect a new "3 Minutes" on Friday and a new "MUwTW" on Monday.

Fingers Crossed!

Speaking of "Story Time with Ray" have you seen the NEW EPISODE? follow that link if you don't see the video here.

Once the alphabet is finished we'll be moving onto new topics, all selected by Ray, and I can tell you because I was there when it was all shot I'm kinda' temped to skip past the end of the alphabet and just start putting those episode out - but I'm also a complete-ist by nature so time will tell.

Also, if you haven't seen it yet you should check out the new Kickstarter Update we've posted! Just because we're funded doesn't mean we're leaving you guys out of the loop! You helped to get us where we are and we want you to know what's going on.

That's it for today. Big announcement coming up for Cheerleaders in the near future so keep an eye out for that!

Update: State of Stuff and Story Time with Ray

We are still jumping up and down with excitement and we are doing our best to take advantage of the momentum from the Kickstarter campaign! We are pleased to say that Michael Mcclasky is now officially signed on as our casting director and we have several meetings set up over the next few weeks to get Cheerleaders locked down!

On the WiggyWebs front there are two new videos available right now!

First The State of Stuff for August. I know it's a bit late, but it's all explained in the video.

And our scheduled show Story Time with Ray! Today he talks about "O" and "P".

If you are a Kickstarter Backer then you shoulod have received your first Backers update yesterday, if you didn't let us know.

Enjoy the videos and don't forget to subscribe!

This is it.
The last day.
The final 24.
Because of your support we have crested over $4100 mark! We are close!
Today we need to close the gap!
If everyone who sees this donates $3, less than a cup of Starbucks or Coffee Bean, then we're over.
If those same people post this link: http://kck.st/qZtHxk and we only get 10% response from it we're still over.
$3 and/or a post and we do it. Seriously, that's all it takes. We did math.
To those of you who have been pushing with us this week: Thank you so much for your support and your belief in the project - even if you're just doing it because you personally like Zeke or Myke or myself - it makes us feel really good to know that our friends, family and fans are willing to help us out. Not everyone can say that and we are grateful beyond measure.
Also, here's one last video because Vernon Wells was good enough to loan us his person to add to our cause.

Let's do this!
Curtis

I don't think I need to put too fine a point on it but  - THE END IS NEAR!!!!!!!!!!
The end of the Kickstarter campaign, that is.
For those of you who have backed us thus far: THANK YOU BEYOND THANKS!
For those of you who have promoted us thus far: WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!
For those of you who might still be on the fence: JOIN US OVER HERE!
The support from family, friends, and fans of indie and horror has been awe inspiring and as we get closer to the last hours we need to keep up the hard work - especially with this being a holiday weekend.
Here's the link to post: http://kck.st/qZtHxk
As I'm sure you've seen, Zeke, Myke and I are constantly updating as things happen, like yesterday's addition of Vernon Wells the notable character actor who has donated time and money to the cause!
Zeke will be at the New Beverly Theater tonight for the screening of "Forbidden Zone" plugging away and I'll be around the O.C. reminding you college kids that beer may be fun, but supporting independent horror films is way more fun!
We're also going to try and shoot some video today to get up before we hit the LAST 24 HOURS!
Keep pluggin' and thank you all so much!
Curtis

Friday, September 2, 2011

Thank you is not sufficient to express the amount of gratitude that we have right now!
Yesterday's pledges were humbling and amazing!
We have 2 days left and we are 40% funded!
Also, we have our first takers for the "Date with Gordy", "Make-Up Tutorial with The Wolf" and Co-Executive Producers! A thousand thank yous to you!

The countdown on Kickstarter clock has changed from days to hours and, as you will learn from just about any book on screenwriting, nothing motivates a character like a ticking clock!
None of this - and I TRULY mean NONE of this - would be possible without your help! It has been wonderful and inspiring and most of all EFFECTIVE!
For the next two days I humbly request you keep it up!
Here's the link: http://kck.st/qZtHxk
Please continue to post it and, if you have a spare dollar we'd appreciate the donation!
I'm going to try and get through all of the thank yous today - it is a wonderful challenge!
Thank you again!
Curtis

ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT!!!!!

There's only 3 days left and we are 20% funded!

Here's the Kickstarter link: http://kck.st/qZtHxk

Please keep spreading it! It's working!

Yesterday was a GREAT rally! I kept getting messages every few minutes about new backers and it was awesome! Zeke and I were actually in a meeting yesterday and my Blackberry kept blinking. It was a good reason to have to constantly check my phone!

The image above is a new poster that will be at The New Beverly Theater this Saturday night for the midnight screening of Forbidden Zone that Zeke will be attending. It's a fun movie that features the first appearance of Oingo Boingo when they were still The Mystical Knights of the Oingo Boingo. That's some trivia for ya'.

Zeke will be there pushing the campaign with post cards and pleas. Go have some fun!

Gotta' run, but keep up the good work!

See you tomorrow!

Kickstarter - The Home Stretch!

Let's start off with announcements:

Now for the EVER IMPORTANT Kickstarter update!

First off let me start by saying THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! We have come far the last few weeks and it's all because of your participation!

We have entered the last nine days of the campaign. It's crunch time and we are turning to you to get us over the hump!

If you were sitting on the fence not sure what to do - now is the time to act!

Ideally we'd love your pledge - of course - but if that isn't an option PLEASE REPOST THE LINK TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!

Here's the link: http://kck.st/qZtHxk

The more people who see it the better this works, and we absolutely need your help! Pop it up on Facebook, Twitter, even MySpace.

A little later today we will have a new "Make-Up with the Wolf" right here and on Wiggy Webs, but you can see it right now at the Cheerleaders Facebook page!

Thank you for your support!
Curtis

The Cheerleaders Must Die Kickstarter Update for Monday August 15th

Don't let it be said that we as filmmakers don't have, what investors call, skin in the game. So far we have released what might be considered pretty "normal" rewards - but today we launch something all new, and all different: Win A Date With Gordy and Make-Up Lessons From The Wolf!
Yes, that's right, personal time with myself (and probably my wife so I'm not accosted) and Myke in exchange for your support. These are special types of rewards and have a few extra rules:
1) Please don't be crazy. Passionate is fine, being a fan is great or even just a student who wants some face time is cool - but if you end up being bat-shit crazy we reserve the right to make you leave.
2) These are limited to a MAXIMUM of 5 backers each. We don't have a lot of time and are more than happy to make time for our contributors, but we need to set a limit.
3) While you will receive all the other "typical" rewards should you pledge for one or the other the only way to get both is to pledge $501 or more, other wise pledge the amount for either of us. Hell if you want to pledge more, but don't want to cross the $500 threshold, just message us which you would like, we'll make a note.
Thank you so much and don't forget to tell a friend! You can copy/paste this link: http://kck.st/qZtHxk
See you soon,
Curtis

Big Update! Kickstarter, Story Time, Comic Con and MORE!

I know it's been about two weeks without an update, but I promise that we've had good reason for the silence - we have been cookin'!

Release of "3 Minutes with Curtis & Dean" and "Story Time with Ray" have continued unabated and if you are reading this via a reader on on the blog page proper you should be able to see the newest episodes right here:

If not, then go to the Wiggy Webs channel and catch up on everything you've missed!

We were at San Diego ComiCon last week supporting Director Zeke Pinheiro and our friends with the short film "The Price." It was an official selection at the Comic Con International Independent Film Festival and we want to say congratulations to them and good luck tonight at the Action on Film Festival! We have some pictures from the convention on the Wiggy Facebook Fan Page. If you haven't liked up please give it a click.

Speaking of film projects, we have launched a Kickstarter campaign for "The Cheerleaders Must Die!" We are raising funds to hire our casting director and pay our story board artist to keep pre-production moving as we finalize our production financing. This project has been such a roller coaster, having been promised funds three times and each time having something fall though. Even though we've faced some adversity, there is significant interest in the project and we are getting this movie made! You can be an integral part of this equation by participating in this campaign!

"What ways can I help?" - The best way is to contribute directly to the campaign. We don't need a lot of money, in the grand scheme of things, but it is more than we can make available without help. Any amount is appreciated and we have some pretty cool rewards for those willing to give!

"What if I can't donate? What then?" - Help us get the word out! Crowd source financing requires a crowd and the further it gets out the bigger the crowd! You can copy & paste this link: http://kck.st/qZtHxk It takes you right to the campaign and all the pertinent info.

 Tell a friend!  Tell twelve!

Well, back to work! Talk to you soon!

Story Time with Ray is LATE!

Sorry about the delay with "Story Time with Ray," but it is now up and ready for your eyeballs.  We did something a little bit different this week, taking a break from the Dr. Suess A B C's to bring you a little message for America.  It would have been perfect if we had posted it on Independence Day, but we were on vacation so imagine this all happened a week ago.

New "3 Minutes" launch tomorrow with all kinds of fun new subjects based on your suggestions and audience response to the last set of videos. I think you'll enjoy them.

See you soon!

Happy Independence Day!

Two New Videos & Updates

First things first, we have been chugging away in the edit bay for the last three days on "Behind the Mask" and I have been lax on the blog updates - so you get a double dose today! Monday saw the release of the latest "Story Time with Ray":

And then this morning we released the latest episode of "3 Minutes with Curtis & Dean":

Here's a rumor - this is probably the last "3 Minutes..." to look like this. Dean and I are working together to build a new opening with new graphics and music! Let's see if we can get that done on time...

At the end of the month (tomorrow) and at the end of each month thereafter I'm going to do a "State of the Stuff" video to update on what happened over the month and what is coming up!  Since we had Blogger trouble and this is going up today why not see it here too?

Also, if you're seeing this on the Wiggy VonSchtick web site, sorry about the missing videos - we're working on that and should be fixed soon.

See you soon!

The Latest "Story Time with Ray" and Small Updates!

It's been up for a while, but we know some of you wait until it hits the blog space so enjoy!

In other news, lots of filming for "Behind the Mask" this week as we wrap up principal photography.  While the editing team has already been working since March, things are really getting the hard-drives heating up with hours of footing getting dropped every day!

In other news, President Curtis Andersen recorded a new episode of The Shmimcast this weekend!  When it is posted we'll have a link here.  For now follow the link HERE for old episodes - including Curtis's first episode!

On the super-secret-so-secret-you-will-only-hear-about-it-here-and-on-the-Shmimcast news: there is a little bit of something in the works with members of Improv Shmimprov...

...But more on that later.

Do You Like Scary Movies?

Well, if you can believe it, the founder of Wiggy VonSchtick does and it is the topic for discussion on this week's "3 Minutes with Curtis & Dean!"

In other film related news, editing on the documentary "Behind the Mask" is well underway and is starting to really shape up!  We will have a new trailer out in a bit and Wiggy Web subscribers will be the first to see it!

The Cheerleaders Must Die! director Zeke Pinheiro will be at ComiCon this year supporting the short film The Price.  You can follow him on Twitter and if you're at the Con make sure to mention it and say hello!

Oh, and Curtis might be there too - stay tuned!

Wiggy Webs Launches Today!

That's right, starting today Wiggy Webs is LIVE!

Above is the first of a long string of new content that will be released every week!

The current schedule is as follows:
  • Monday - Story Time with Ray - We'll finish the alphabet and then Ray will share his words of wisdom with the children... although I don't know that you'll want your children watching.
  • Wednesday - 3 Minutes with Curtis & Dean - Curtis and Dean discuss a variety of topics for 3 minutes.  Not a complicated concept, as you see above, but the discussions get pretty good even though they get abruptly cut off!
  • Friday - Three Things with Rene - This show is coming later this month, but Rene is going to talk about three things she's loving and three things she's hating each week.
New shows will be added as we grow so don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel!

January 2011 Update - From The Sundance Film Festival

It is embarrassing that the last update was back in July, but a nice side effect is that it makes it very easy to fill out this new blog post!

First and foremost WiggyVonSchtick.com has been redesigned! In fact some of you may be reading this blog post on the home page!  Since we like to think of ourselves as a forward thinking company you'll notice that the site is really just a hub to all the different things going on.  For example there is a video on the home page as well, currently it is the teaser trailer for our current project Behind the Mask: Lifting the Veil Off of Plastic Surgery a documentary about the phenomenon of plastic surgery, but more than that we're looking into what it takes to become a plastic or cosmetic surgeon - and yes there is a difference - a major difference - between the two!

While Wiggy Webs, the New Media segment of Wiggy VonSchtick, technically started six months ago we are doing a major re-launch in February with new content and several new shows.  "Story Time with Ray" is returning and he'll be joined by Rene, myself and a bunch of our friends on our channel over at YouTube.  You'll also be able to see whatever the latest episode is right on the Wiggy VonSchtick homepage in the video box!

As it mentioned in the title, Rene and I are in Park City, Utah attending the Sundance Film Festival.  In addition to the movies and the parties we're also having business meetings for some of the projects that are in the pipe - head over to the MOVIES tab to see what they are.

In fact I should probably stop writing and get on with the day!  Make sure you check out the site and let me know what you think in the comments!
